Pretty cool to watch.
Lots of those crates with planes never made it across the Atlantic and are sitting on the bottom, U boats took their toll. Too bad there wasn't a way to easily bring some of them up. You'd think with flyable P-51s fetching more than a million dollars...

My dad flew one... the Jug was ugly kid on the playground with the P-51, p-38, and the spitfire all in the air at the time.
Dad had a lot of amusing stories about flying the Thunderbolt.
