Scam or not?

The question is closely related to your company name "tetrawest",please forward it to your company's top management. Thanks!

Dear President&CEO,

We are the organization specializing in network consulting and registration authorized by Chinese government. On December 8. 2016,a applicant named Mr. Craig Chen from Cam Technologies Co., Ltd wants to record and register the brand name tetrawest and some domains by our office.
After our preliminary review and verification,we find Cam Technologies Co., Ltd has nothing to do with your company. But If you have permitted this company to apply these names, or you think the application will not damage the interests of your company, please allow us to fulfill all the registration for Cam Technologies Co., Ltd. If you against the company's application, please let me know by email ASAP.
Best Regards,

Louise Wang

A bit of investigation, probably scam. They "scare" you into registering all sorts of Domain names at inflated prices.

I get a dozen bogus registrar letters a year.

As in sent via USPS.

Basic rule is, anything, email or snailmail, that pertains to domains you own that does not come from your known registrar of record is bogus.

Usually from some Slavic/Ukrainian/ex-Eastern bloc based organization.

Hilarious was getting three in two days from the same place on the same domains with three different prices.

Had a similar one hit me the same way - I responded that I would sell for a million dollars. Never heard back.
