36000 feet, a 90 degree left followed by a 360 degree right while dropping to below 10000 feet. Plus the pilot did not respond to the Greek control hand off.
Let the guessing begin.
God speed to the souls aboard. Prayers to the families.

EgyptAir flight missing with 66 on board, sea search finds nothing so far - One America News Network

Some excerpts:
But just ahead of the handover to Cairo airspace, calls to the plane went unanswered, before
it dropped off radars shortly after exiting Greek airspace, Kostas Litzerakis, the head of Greece’s civil aviation department, told Reuters.

“During the transfer procedure to Cairo airspace, about seven miles before the aircraft entered the Cairo airspace, Greek controllers tried to contact the pilot but he was not responding,” he said.

Signals from the jet’s transponder ended abruptly while it was cruising at 37,000 feet and a speed of 534 knots, according to aviation website FlightRadar24.com. The A320 was also not deviating from its flight path when it disappeared, the data showed.

Lots of things seems to point to a terrorist act, particularly no radio replies. There were several security persons on board - did they respond and in what way?

Perhaps one of them was the problem?

One speculates that someone was in the cockpit, perhaps threatening, which caused the 90 degree turn left followed by a 360 degree turn right that was reported...the guys who could have access or knowledge could well be the security guys.

Let's not forget the possibility of ground personnel planting a bomb in cargo. De
Gaulle airport had recently let go several people for questionable ties.

Given this and the Malaysian Airline incidents, who is afraid to fly with a national airline of a Muslim country...

Meh, I do it all the time. A week ago 4 flights on Qatar thru Doha.

I got the Egypt thing out of my system last year and will likely never go back. Truly messed up place.

Do these maneuvers seem consistent with a bomb exploding in the aircraft?

Could they be consistent with suicide by pilot?

Isn't the equipment fly by wire? Could the maneuvers be due to the computer trying to correct a problem?

EgyptAir flight data show smoke alerts - CNN.com

Smoke in cockpit and forward lavatory for 1-2 minutes before contact lost? Then computer faults? Per automated data report. Other reports shown in screen grab.

Reported from CNN.com

Airbus has detected signals from the Mediterranean Sea where EgyptAir Flight 804 crashed last week, Egypt's state-run Al Ahram news agency reported Thursday.
The signals were emitted by the plane's emergency locator transmitter, a device that can manually or automatically activate at impact and will usually send a distress signal. The signals from the emergency locator transmitter are different from the pings emitted by the "black boxes."

Having these signals narrows down the area that the multinational search team has been focusing on -- which a few days ago was described as "about the size of Connecticut." It dramatically decreases the search area to a 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) radius, giving investigators a more specific location to detect pings from the black boxes.
