Not as amazing or sexy as some of the office views here, but I like it. Out of the west facing window on my left. It's not ours, but that's about 20 acres (ours stops at the fence). The folks that sold us the house had ~33.5 acres. They split off ~6 (ours) and kept the other 27.5.

Beats the hell out of a cubicle!

Maverick's surf break is just under the moon on the other side of the point. Pillar Point Harbor in the other direction. Yeah, I'm livin' the dream.

I'll bet the boss is really saying "Lets go do something, throw a ball, chase some squirrels, hang out on the couch, etc...."

A place Higgins might have visited. The Boeing hangars in Long Beach where they built the C-17's.

We duplicated a C-130....

Here's the exterior...

And the pneumatic gimble that it will be placed atop and CGI movie magic applied...

Just to show how massive the hangar is (there's 3 of them)....

Great scenery, and bartending is an OK job, but honestly, the work environment was crap. I didn't mind the loud music, but the heavy cigarette smoke sucked. But the worst part was that it's generally not a nice place, substance abuse is rampant for both employees and customers. The environment sucks people in, chews them up and spits them out. I referred to it as Satan's armpit. Still, beats the hell out of a low paying retail gig.

That's super cool! I was living next to the path for incoming flights, nearly 30 years ago. I used to ride my bike near the airport too. I could see the faces of passengers through my living room window as the planes came in to land.

Before I retired, I would look out my office window at locomotives and railcars. And disgruntled highly paid employees.
Now this is the view from my home office. No trains for 50 miles, or more. And no employees.

When I was a 16 year old gas jockey, this was the view from my ‘office’...

I think my ‘office’ views when I was commercial fishing during summers at the same age were probably better. I saw every sunrise and every sunset. Lots of stars. One night in particular running from a salmon opening at the Pender Bluffs (Pender Islands), the aurora borealis were absolutely amazing. The light show and the phosphorescence in the water were absolutely incredible that night. It’s a night I’m lucky I got to experience and one I hope I never forget.
