Hey they suck as much cold as possible out of the weather coming our way, you should be thanking our neighbors.
Yep feels like winter is upon us. BURRR is right.!

My tropical blood is slowly coming around, but my mind is not so sure about this winter thing.

Cheers Richard

After having a really warm November, December is very cold. Now it is minus 23C or about minus 5F. The highest temp in the next ten days will be minus 17C or minus 2F.

Wifey needs a hernia operation and that is when she gets on the wait list. Palm Springs is calling us and we may just get away for a week shortly anyway. Shortest day of the year is coming up though!

Simply brutal.

It's not that at all

It's just that we are too stupid to realize that we are not supposed to go outside in our shorts when there is 3 feet of snow.

misleading post. you should know better.

“Even though Antarctic sea ice reached a new record maximum this past September, global sea ice is still decreasing,” said Claire Parkinson, author of the study and climate scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. “That’s because the decreases in Arctic sea ice far exceed the increases in Antarctic sea ice.”

finally, last winter was so pathetic we had only 2 weeks of ice racing.

colder the better early in the season. more ice = more ice racing.

Ok, the chart is a little off as absolute zero is as cold as it can get (-459 F/-273 C). But hey, Canadians are that kind of stubborn! Guess there's no temp where the Ottawa Sens finally win.

Winter arrived in SW Ohio yesterday. The snow was beautiful and came early enough that I got the parking lot cleared before dark. It was a clear night with a bright gibbous moon. The snow in the trees was beautiful.
