"But... They also have the best chicken burgers in a franchise (South African owned franchise) called Nando's which is suposedly Portuguese (Portugese who have been thrown out of Namibia and now live in South Africa). The burgers are really good and have a Jalepeno, plus other spices, sauce."

Bill - we have Nandos up here in Auckland. Hasn't it made it down to Welly yet???

Pizza - favourite topic right now... Make your own . Just alla Margherita for me (thin home-made base, home-made sauce, cheese, salt (a separate ingredient..), basil, a little parmesan when done - in a really fricken hot all the way up 400+ deg oven).

Mmmmmm pizza.

Adam is right. Pizza Hut does 2 for NZ$20 here (under US$10). La Porchetta is a new semi-styleee Australian chain which has them down to about US$3 for a small...

How bout BBQ Pizza? You get all your ingredients cooked and ready to go. You take your pizza crust and put it on the BBQ, within 3 to 4 minutes you turn it over put on all you ingredients and cover the BBQ.....within the time it takes to melt the cheese the crust is cooked and off it comes....extra good if you use smoked cheese

Today is just another day in the sun.....the weather is so warm I have been wearing shorts.....so it isn't likely that that pizza tastes that good anyway.......matter of fact it probably just doesn't taste good at all.......... I'll just have to suffer without it.....

Pizza you say? You've touched a nerve!
Imagine.....these days when most people think of pizza, they think Pizza Hut. I call it Pizza Yuck!
*Real* pizza is not baked in a gawd-damned pan, nor is it covered in two feet of imitation cheese!!

Here in the Rainforest, we connoisseurs of *real* pizza, have Nats in Vancouver, and Pagliaci's in Seattle. None finer than these two, IMO.

Pags is the best in town Doug, hands down. When we lived in Kirkland we could get delivery, and did...way to often .

Ah, the good old days....

Say, Jamie79SC also lives in Kirkland, I bet he could get delivery from the same Pags...food for thought next time your down this way....might be worth gettin' the BB back on the road a little sooner?

Sorry, Original Italian Pizza in Washington Township, NJ is the best. Especially their Sicilian pizza. And yes, the owners/chefs (brothers) are Italian. 1st gen.

Yup, we've got a Nando's in Wgtn, and yes I have been known to go there once or twice

This pizza talk is making me hungry. It's Friday evening here now so I'm going out boozing and eating. My grog of choice tonight will be Lindauer which is an inexpensive methode traditionale sparkling wine and food will be a chilli chicken meal with salad, olives french bread etc. Yummmm...
