Making your own videos

I like my videos that were spontaneous more than any others. I have some that are edited to death, and they lose something IMO.

Here's one that I barely took on our first year of the pumpkin patch. I have it in Hi-Rez, but it would not load on our Facebook page, so I compressed the hell out of it, but otherwise left it unedited, so it's raw, purely un-rehearsed, and spontaneous.

Christine Park, a local TV news anchor, showed up and let it rip on Karaoke Night. We were speechless. I should have ran up and gave her and her family a free pumpkin, which not doubt I would now. But I was a total rookie in pumpkin patches in general, in renting karaoke rigs, and in shooting video.

And during October, there is literally zero time to shoot still pics, let alone motion video. Somehow I shot this of Mel performing with his wife. I never finished the video unfortunately, but I got it loaded because his family wanted me to share it. It's not up to what I would call "good" standards, but again it is totally spontaneous.



By then, the pumpkin patch was in it's second year and we built a stage for Karaoke night. No more renting a crappy machine with terrible audio.

And then there is this one, for those of you who have Facebook. From our Christmas tree lot. One of the reasons why we have zero time from Oct to Jan. No comment required.
