2 post lift fun! They just make life easy!

Since I've installed my Challenger CL10v3 I've had every vehicle I own, the lone exception being the 911, up on the lift. The 911 will have its day but it wont come until winter when I change out the transmission.

The other day I was dreading cleaning the deck on my mower which got me thinking "can I put it on the lift?". After a bit if thinking on a safe way to lift, I took the striper kit off the back to get to the frame on the back. I have a 1" thick metal bar that I put under the front frame. I put my tall spacers on and adjusted the pads so everything would engage at the same time and up it went! Deck now clean and blades sharp. I love owning a lift

Lucky bastage. I have a four post but it sucks for maintenance tasks, I’d kill for a big shop with a two post.

To be honest, I never even considered it for lifting my mower. Next project is going to be figuring out how to safely lift my UTV. I've looked at it and I think I can get the arms to engage the frame. Since the engine is pretty much centered, it should be an easy lift.

I bought two safety stands just because I'm new to the whole lift thing. The stands aren't pictured but before I got under the mower I had the stands in place. I've been using the stands each time I lift. I figure making safety a habit is a good thing.

My two post has an adapter for lifting my Harley on one of the two posts - safely.

I just installed a two post lift, the days of lying on the concrete garage floor with the car a few inches from my nose, trying to pull a transmission on my back are behind me....finally!

Last year I put my boat/trailer on my 2 post lift to rewire the trailer lights . Working upright is the way to go no doubt about it . One of the best tools I have ever purchased .

I did that a few weeks ago with my UTV trailer. Can't beat wiring a trailer standing up!

Don't have a lift....but I did put my dog up on a table yesterday when I gave her a bath.

The concept is the same.

Get 'em up higher and life becomes a WHOLE lot easier!

And BTW...she was fine with it the whole time. Didn't try to get away or nothing. Smart girl!

Glad to see you got that lift installed. I recently also installed a 2 post and have been loving it. Like you, I have used it for the abnormal items... I rebuild the gear box on my brush cutter last week.

Pulled the flat bed off this 65 International I am stripping and painting.

Owner is the manager of the Davey Tree branch at my complex. He rustled up six "yutes" from his crew and they carried it to the back of my shop. Just kill me. I tried to correct this pics orientation twice. You get the idea. IPhone. Sorry.

There it sits in the back of my hermetically sealed paint booth.

Good stuff guys!
When I bought the lift I was strictly thinking tire rotation, brakes, occasional exhaust change, oil changes, you know normal maintenance stuff. Now I'm putting stuff on it that I never even thought of using it for. This thing has quickly elevated itself to one of my favorite purchases!

I've used mine a few times for lifting stuff out of the back of my truck.
Changing the carbides on my sled as well.

I actually like my four post a lot, including for maintenance. Having a bridge jack to go with the standard jack tray helps a lot. Yesterday, for example, I changed out the engine mounts on my '49 Plymouth. Was able to stand up without stooping, so accessing even the rear mounts was a breeze. Unbolted the 71 year old mounts, slid the bridge jack into place, lifted the engine just enough to get the old mounts out and new ones in, then bolted the new ones in place. No more than ten minutes tops.

I might ask my wife to stand on the lift so I can check the undercarriage

I got one finally a few years ago, it truly is magical.

Another super handy use for it is unloading heavy things like an engine from a truck bed. Move 3 lift arms out of the way, raise the lift higher than you need and back the truck under the arm you choose. Hoist the item clear of the bed and drive the truck away.
