Bought this car today

I AM a sucker for these cars. So this and three others should do me for a while. I've a set of lowering springs and an extra set of mags to play with. So when it warms up a bit I'll have a little fun. It's kinda crazy, I know, but it's fun for me
so....why not?

The old "I'd rather drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow" theory put into real-world in practice.

So you're thinking V8 conversion, maybe dropping a Roush Supercharger into it?

I guess I wasn't the only one licking his chops, rubbing his hands together with anticipation while clicking on a new thread from a favorite poster.
Only to back up eyes blinking saying OH, WHAT THE?

Surprising YP, are they especially fun in the snow?
Do you put skis on the front? No wait that woulnt work.

Cheers Richard

Hey, if it's fun for you, isn't that all that matters?

Is there room for a turbocharger?

Silly question, there's ALWAYS room for a turbocharger.

That's the one with the snowmobile engine and CVT, right?

The SCCA should make a special class to race those things... I'm sure many of you remember the heart-pounding excitement of Wabbits wacing fender to fender.

I know this pic is of Road Atlanta, but I only saw them race at Charlotte. My first wife loved 'em... as they came down braking into the turn going into the infield and they went at it, tires squealing, trading paint, left rear floating in the air, she was laughing so hard I thought I might have to give her CPR.

I own a similar sized car to the Yaris, bought to drive in Autosolos, it has as standard from the factory 2 litre motor 172 bhp @ 7200rpm, in a car weighing only a ton, and it is inexpensive fun fun fun.Lift off oversteer is all that is needed to get it round tight turns, one back wheel probably a foot off the road. It even gives 36 mpg ( mind you on 98 octane gas which is extra expensive) on the drives to the track( no trailers allowed under UK rules)., but under 9 mpg during the runs.
