Not hiring? Don't call us we will call you.

So I just read an article about some Irish gal in the good ol' Uk,trying to get a job. The job has a conservative clientele and she's dressed like Danelle from American Pickers, or Miley Cypress. You know Side Show Mel, circus freaks. I wouldn't hire her either. If you are going to "rebel" the system, you should stay with your kind. Love the hair honey!;):D http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1489154690.jpg<The peasant look doesn't work for conservative business.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1489154782.jpg<Dress like her, or go work for Hot Topic, dang it!;)
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1489154864.jpg;)What say you?

I often wonder what some of these freaks I see around town do for a living. There's guys - and gals - I see locally with tats and weird pieces of metal all over their faces and for fun I imagine them as a attorney in court, or a lobbyist trying to sway a congressman...

Interestingly, I've noticed one employer that seems to be collecting all the "it's my body and I'll let myself go and/or deface it however the fck I want" people - the DMV. I see some of the most bizarre people working there that I don't think could get away with their "style" out in the real world.

I met one at a local oil change place, the dude was bald and tatted every where, and had spikey things. I let them do their job and while I was waiting the little pip squeak tried to intimidate me. LOL! I reckon hes 112 lbs wet, I'm a burley 260 lbs and I know how to street fight as well as use hand to hand combat, LOL, I just winked at him, and let him finish his job.;):D Tats and spikes don't make you tough. LOL!:D

Employers don't want to hire snowflakes. Snowflakes require constant supervision and affirmation, and weep uncontrollably and sue when faced with criticism or not getting their way. Dressing like a self-absorbed snowflake is a sign you might be a self-absorbed snowflake.

Yeup, I reckon those snowflakes should get a real job, factory work, sweat it out, hell some folks earn a pretty good wage from hard work. Plus factory work will put hair on your chest!:D

Yeah, I don't get it either... she looks like a 4th grade school teacher to me.

Laneco 03-10-2017 07:03 AM

The lead in the article states "she has been looking for a job for four months..."

May I suggest that perhaps there is another problem than her nose piercing or hair cut?

England is a bit antiquated and backwards in some ways too. That's something that you need te remember. It wasn't that long ago, that a temp girl was sent home for not wearing 2" heels.

“When Nicola Thorp reported to work awhile back as a temporary receptionist in the financial center here, she was shocked when her temp supervisor said her flat shoes wer unacceptable. She would need to get herself shoes with heels at least two inches high.

When she refused, she was sent hom from the accounting firm PwC without pay.”

Women have been told to wear short skirts and plunging necklines and even dye their hair blonde, according to a report by MPs into “dress codes” imposed on them at work.

A special parliamentary investigation heard from women who were also ordered to reapply make-up throughout the day and told off for wearing loose clothing in hot weather.

I wonder if the UK has the same background checks on candidate employees as Merica has? It might be hauntin' her, she needs to get a factory job.;)

Dang it... When I looked at the pic, I thought that she was wearing a hat.

I'm just gonna say that I would not hire her.
Not because of boots, or hat hair, or tats.... but because she's Irish.

My wife is Irish. I have learned my lesson already, thanks.
