Road rage, man break womans both arms with crowbar
Like WTF
![]() Doesn't sound like she did anything wrong, but I don't care if she totally f'ed up, no one deserves this. Hope the guy gets big time, he could easily killed her. 'I couldn't move my arms': Edmonton road rage victim tells her story - Edmonton - CBC News I laugh at road ragers, IMHO people who are in their car screaming at the person next to them have some pretty serious mental issues. My wife taught me the best way to deal with ragers, smile and wave, they don't know how hell to respond to this and just drive off. A career in the psychiatric field, she can smile and call you an a-hole to your face and you don't get it until hours later. ![]()

"I got out of my car, figured that would probably be the best because I'm not trapped," she said.
Now here is a woman who trusts people. I hope they find him fast and lock his azz up.

Yep, that was the wrong plan, but she didn't know better and admits that in hindsight she should have stayed in the car and GTFO of there.

"I honked at him, and he finally moved," she said.
She said she then drove around his car. She was shocked to see he was wielding a crowbar. "I got out of my car, figured that would probably be the best because I'm not trapped," she said. ========== Not excusing the attack but an argument could be made that she made a few mistakes herself.

She was followed home and did not notice the perp following her. I am confident Edmonton's finest will find this offender. She was using her arms to protect her head. Could have easily been killed.
It shows that there are thin skinned drivers out there if all a person does is lean on the horn momentarily and it irritates them. ![]() |

I wouldn't want him locked up. Take him further north in the middle of a nice field, break both femurs and arms. Come home.

Let's get my disclaimer out of the way first: This guy is a freakin' loon who should probably be euthanized. With his own crow bar. Heat it up a bit first, though. I in no way condone his reaction.
That out of the way, I'll play devil's advocate: I'm sick and tired of "road rage" victims saying "but I didn't do anything...". Therein, actually, lies the problem with many drivers today: they have absolutely no idea if or how their behavior affects other motorists around them. Nor could they possibly care less. They are in their own little private cocoons, usually on the phone or texting while they are driving 10-15 mph or more under the speed limit, weaving back and forth, sitting at green lights, running red lights, and all manner of inattentive b.s. They never have and idea that they "did" anything - that is a large part of the frustration in dealing with them. And before some of you go after me, I'll say I'm pretty damn chill in traffic and around these idiots. I've been stuck in Seattle traffic long enough to have developed a rather "zen-like" calm as a matter of sanity and survival. Oh, I cuss under my breath, but I absolutely avoid any sort of confrontation.

truck on coming. I'm 3rd in line behind one of those who believe that just below the 55 limit on that stretch is safe. Check my mirrors to see a bimbo in a mini van trying to pass the string. Not sure how many cars total in the string..maybe 7 or 8? Hit the brakes, gave her room to come in. If I hadn't? A wreck for sure...maybe she head on into a truck. Yeah, I was mad. But really, no urge to chase her down with a crowbar...

No law enforcement to cull out (or at a minimum try to educate through citation) offenders.
"Sir, unless they break the law, we can't do anything." Later that night on the local news...."Fatal accident involving 2 vehicles. Early reports are the driver of the SUV was distracted and went off the road - then over-corrected and the vehicle ended up going across the median and into oncoming traffic." "Sir, we can't do anything unless they are breaking the law." Rinse...repeat.....

Calling in something for me is a very last resort type of deal. Like I said in another thread recently....chances of things turning sideways go way up, once you make that 9-1-1 call. Of course, for some - they make those calls routinely. ![]()

Took a management class. They talked about extroverts. Asked what kind of car they drove. The answer was it didn't matter as long as the horn worked. He also recommended that no matter how extroverted you are, no matter what is said or done...never get out of the car, that just causes bigger problems.

I drive the best I can. But being human mistakes happen. I've been blasted by the horn, flipped off, etc. I just usually wave sorry and go on my merry way. I KNOW the guy yelling at me isn't the perfect driver either. I don't even get mad back anymore. I can't even remember past rage events. So I waste zero time.

One part of the mind agrees with this, but honestly, better off to make it quick and clean. one behind the ear.
