Porsche Hazet Toolbox

Not sure if this was already posted, but a quick search on "Hazet" resulted in only a wrench question.

Hazet Produces Limited Edition Porsche Motorsport Tool Chest - The Drive

https://www.jensputzier.com/detail/index/sArticle/3357

Currently unavailable on the website, but at $6k, I'm not sure that matters to me...

Well Hell, with Sears going down the drain, I'm sure my Craftsperson tools and rollaway are gonna be worth a mint!

Well, since Fords are now metric, think I'll hang on for a while with my tools. Yeah, they are USA made..the old stuff.

Frankly, I think anybody who would pay that much for that few drawers is doing so for status over practicality. Of course, to each his own..

That one looks like a Nascar box you'd buy at Napa Auto Parts.

This is the one that I thought looked OK. Small, but OK.

I guess opinions vary, but I have one and think it looks great. Very solid box all around. FWIW I didn't pay anything close to the price listed in the link...comparable w/ snap on IMO. Cheers!

What's up with that red box in the middle that gets narrow at the top? That is kind of cool, I dont think I have ever seen one like that before

That's it. Most home mechanics would never need anything bigger than this. I have a similar setup using Chinese made boxes but the tools inside are mostly Snap-on.

Regardless of the badge or origin a well made box is a well made box. Better to focus on the quality of the tools IMO.

The blue Porsche cart was a limited version quite a while ago, the red one is the Hazet 173 delivered to Porsche dealerships and the one with the print was a limited version (50 only worldwide) commemorating the 20 year partnership between Porsche Motorsport and Hazet. That one just sold out.
