To lift a 5,000 to 10,000 vehicle truly vertically and hover would take a huge jet engine. It was a little hyperbole to say it would blast through the floor of the parking garage, but it would kill anyone directly below it.
There is a huge difference between the jet wash of a jet engine and the prop wash of multiple rotors. I doubt that 2 seat transportation vehicle weighs, in theory, more than 2000 pounds with people on board. I would venture it is in the LSA category weight wise.

I wonder where you will park the things. We have a long thread here about people that use multiple spaces. These look like they would take four normal spots, unless you can fold them up like a Jetson's car as well. Stack them on their sides maybe?

I think they are calling it a "drone" due to it being fully autonomous. Tell Siri or Alexis or Google where you want to go and it takes you. Assuming it is a short trip.

How long to charge after a 50 minute flight?

It would be cool for me to cruise up the river to work but getting sideswiped by someone else would bring things down to earth quickly and literally.

If your looking to cruise up the river, you need a
HOVERWING!

These don't seem to be blowing holes in the concrete.
