Bring your daughter, 'er..... kid to work day.
Is this still a thing? Long before I had kids I used to see people bringing them in every April 27th. Welp, my daughter wants to come to work with me Thursday. She's almost 9, I'm all for it. It just doesn't seem like anyone does it any more.

There are times that I don't wait for a special day... usually only keep 'em here for a few hours though

Well, April 27th is an excused absence from school but she'll be asked to present some material the following day. It's supposed to be educational.

It's a huge thing here (Boeing) events planned throughout the day to keep the kids interested, catered lunches everyone goes home early.

I've only seen kids in the office to have lunch with a parent, or for a field trip or some other special event.

I have done this. Both have accompanied me when I had to come in when I was on call to replace a switch or fried UPS. I hate the fried UPS ones except they are really easy.

Yeah, it is a big thing here in Germany.
My daughter (12) will be visiting my company tomorrow. My son (14) has visited companies four times now. This year he does not participate. |

Yep, I'm bringing my 5-year old to work tomorrow. Not sure if anyone else is bringing their kids in.

I get to do this a lot. Not sure my son likes it, 13 hour days are tough on a 10yo. Last time he came to work with me we picked up cigarette butts in in the parking lot.

I bring my kid to work as much as possible. He has a blast, pinball machines, arcade games, food, scooters, toys you name it... this is right outside of my office
