Wife needs ideas!
Wife and three other ladies heading to palm desert. May 16 any ideas what they should see or do ? Thanks ,They are open to most ideas. 🙄

I don't know much about Palm Desert but Palm Springs area has lots of hiking. I am sure there is local hiking in the Palm Desert area. If the ladies rent a car it would help a lot to get around. You don't have to leave the city for hiking. Just ask at an info center or hotel.
Of course there is golfing everywhere. There is the College of the Desert in Palm Springs which has a great market. I think it happens on a Sunday. Restaurants are great and there is a great variety of kinds of restaurants. If hiking or driving anywhere make sure to carry lots of water. The temperatures are getting warmer now. A gps or cell phone for navigation would help while driving. Driving around the Palm Springs area is pretty civilized. Make sure she takes her Costco card in case they go wine and grocery shopping. Their Costco's are a real treat. So is Trader Joes. Cheers, Guy |

Do they golf? Palm Springs/Palm Desert are golf nirvana.
A lot of natural hot springs/spas in the area.

Palm Desert is just a short jaunt away from Palm Springs so, as mentioned, PS is a great location for attractions.
My suggestion is to walk the Indian Canyons trails--an amazing literal oasis of palm trees and creeks in the middle of the desert. Google some pictures, it's worth it.  I remember walking those trails as a kid, back in the '50s with my parents, and I still remember the experience. Of course, there is the tram up the mountain for a fantastic view of the entire valley.

The tram is very cool, but if you are afraid of heights it could be terrifying.
Also note if they do take the tram to bring a jacket, it can be 80-90 degrees in the valley and you get to the top of the mountain and there is snow on the ground.

Indian Canyons is awesome. The art museum is very nice. The tram is also a must-do.
There's also the zoo, called The Living Desert. Joshua Tree is a nice day trip. If the ladies like shopping, they should stroll El Paseo.
