Best way to store unmounted tires

I recently purchased some Falken Azenis 615K+ tires because Tire Rack was having a fairly smokin' deal on them. I don't really need to mount them on the car for probably another 6-8 months, so will be storing them. I have never purchased tires that were not mounted on wheels immediately, so was curious about the best way to store unmounted tires. Should I put them in a closet inside the house, to protect them from the triple digit temps that will occur in the garage? Are they going go be okay stacked one on top of the other? Perhaps these are fairly silly questions for those in the know, but I don't want to mess them up while storing them.

When I bought the Cayman, it came with 4 unused Michelin Pilot Sport tires. I stored them on a pallet on the North side of the workshop, tightly wrapped in a tarp. That worked really well, and I just had all 4 put on the car.

Off gassing is going to be stinky. I put tires in individual black plastic bags.

Just keep them in shade, out of the rain. The plastic is to keep spiders out.

How much will it off gas in an air conditioned house? It won't bother me, and my wife smokes so she is not going to notice.

^^^^This x 2. I usually throw a desicant bag, or a piece of desicant paper into each bag as well for moisture control. You mainly want to eliminate UV rays, and temp swings.
