Davis Vantage View help needed
I have a Davis Vantage View Model 6250 Product number 6357.
It has been working fine but recently the battery warning for the transmitter low battery came up. I replaced the battery and all was fine for a few months and then the battery warning came up again and the next day I lost all communications with the outdoor station. I replaced the battery and ran through all the steps to make it work. No joy. The console will show that a transmitter is on channel 8 but I can't make it change to any other channel. Nothing is really working right now except the inside measurements. My question is do any of you Pelicans know much about a Vantage Vue? I can get a all new one for $300 or just go for a outside unit for $200. I am not sure what is not working. The instructions show how to look for other channels but that does not work at all. Should I just replace it all or switch brands to a more reliable unit from another manufacturer? This unit is about 6 years old so it should last long than that.

I used to have a Vantage Pro, but can't really help you. I can't imagine that you need to get a better unit unless it was an upgrade to a better Vantage.
Have you tried checking the Vantage website to see if they have a support email? Also, it may not be a bad idea to check here: WXForums Davis Instrumentation Weather Stations subforum.
