Value of Fuchs these days?
I have some Fuchs wheels and know their value has gone up over the years but wondering if I should hang onto these for now or move them out.
I have a pair of 16x6 and a pair of 16x7, both of which are factory. Normal offsets for year 1984 911 (they came on my '81 when I bought it in '98). I also have a pair of 16x9, which are replicas. All are alloy with black paddles. They are true and in fair condition - have sat under tarp for quite a few years now so finish is not the greatest, mostly crud stick to the rims from some rug material I used when stacking them. Some of the black paint is also peeling. The factory 6 and 7's: The replica 9's:

I believe we have reached "peak Fuchs". Every day there seems to be fewer and fewer 15" and 16" tires available. With a good finish they seem to go for around $1500-$1600 a set, but the way those look I'd knock some off.
I sold a set of 15" about 10 years ago for $400, thought I got good money. They even had center caps. I guess I was wrong. Ignore everything I wrote above. |

15 and 16 inch tires are available with the P rating that are stock sizes but expensive.
I have a set of 15 inch Fuchs that my car was delivered with. They are in the attic and it will take a couple of grand for me to take them back down out of the attic. Oh and 70K will buy my 911. ![]()

One year ago I paid $1600 for this set of 7s and 8s. The polish needed some work but otherwise they are perfect with no curb rash.

I thought 6 and 7s arent as rare as the 8 or 9s so are priced accoedingly. I was looking for a set of 8s but gave up and added some spacers to fill in the carrera flares

Baz, you can get a good gauge on value by visiting eBay. They are always "for sale", there...

You could probably get $900 to $1K for those Baz.

Don't bother looking on ebay at the ones that are for sale though some have been listed for a LONG time. Focus on those that have actually sold.

+1 eBay is 1.5x to 2x market price and the ads are up for ages.

Thanks, Shaun....and everyone else who replied.
![]() I gave them to my mechanic for a price to be agreed upon later. He's doing some work on my tub. He's got an '82 SC that needs Fuchs, so hopefully these will work out for him. LOL....he wasn't interested in the replicas...wanted the "real ones"!

I bought a nice pair and a less nice pair (slightly better than yours) a couple of years ago for around $225 each. All were 6 x 16's. Put 205/50's on 'em and you've got a nice upgrade for the earlier flat side cars.

Don't be silly, of course they aren't for sale, but trade... that's completely different.

^^ If none of those wheels are for sale what are your plans for them? Continually swap sets on your cars..? At some point they are just taking up space.

6&7x16 were for sc's. $1k for the set in the condition you show. 8x16 were on the turbo. $1,500-2k for a pair.

16 x 6s are about $200-300 a set and the 7s are @ $500 a set, in the conditions that yours are in. Plenty of them out there in that price range. The detailed/super clean ones are closer to $1,200 as stated above.

I'm stating prices from about a dozen sets I've sold in the last couple months. I've sold lots of 15's as well.
