from the video looks like he is way off line going into that left hand turn. trys to drift outside to regain a better line to apex, but gets in too deep and stands on the brakes, with rear promptly coming around.....he is not ahead of the car at any point... ugh

Agree. He did not know the track, I am guessing. Screwed up the turn in and did not or did not have time to scrub speed.

Methinks he has used up his excess lives and needs to quit while he's ahead...

Poor Richard. Just because he was on top gear doesn't mean he's a good driver, just means he was on top gear.

Richard if you are reading this; I wish you all the best and please don't drive anything faster than a Corolla.

those guys spend a lot of time drifting, which looks great on camera, but not so great for speed and control....

I don't think any of them are particularly good drivers. Some of the serious driving on their shows must be done by pros.

Now, I am not a great driver either but I know it and keep the shiny side up.

It was revealed last season on GT that Richard could not drift. And they spent an entire episode
Showing him learning to do so. Jeremy made the comment to the effect, of Richards progress, "great, now I'll have someone to play with." So, yes other than Jeremy, if you saw a car drifting with Hamster or Capt. Slow it was more than likely someone else driving.

Those electric cars seem to burst into flames a lot after a crash.

I assume there was no petrol in it so was the fire a huge electrical 'short'? Looks like a back wheel melted.

Aside from that, he will need a new battery & the damage should buff out.

Lithium burns like a mofo and water does not help as lithum reacts with it to produce hydrogen.

just burning

He drifts fine. Its the controlled stop that he lacks.

Some pretty good posts on the Grand Tour Instagram account. Even a video with Richard commenting on being alive though some believe him dead.
