Update from Sea Base, Sons Summer Job...

He has been there almost 2 weeks now. He has 5 room-mates all older - he is 18 and the youngest on staff there. When I asked what he thought after his 2nd day he said

"Its really strange being staff and not a scout. There are no rules. After your shift you can do what you want. When we were here for scouts it was regimented and there were all theses rules."

There are rules Son, they are called laws. Your an adult now.

He flies home this week for a few days to shoot at States then out again on Fathers Day - he is back Aug 27, college starts Aug 28. I miss him.

He took the following snaps. If you go to Sea Base this year for a High Adventure Scout trip, look him up!

Not bad at all. Did Munson Island 7 years ago. Windy the whole time, but it was fun.

Place has changed since I was there in the 80s. Looks like all sorts of upgraded equipment, etc.
