2017 24 Hours of Le Mans -this weekend

Radio: Every session, starting at 10 a.m. ET this Wednesday, will be live on radiolemans.com; once the race begins at 9 a.m. ET Saturday, XM channel 201 and Sirius channel 138 will be activated.

TV Schedule:
· June 17 – FS1 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM
· June 17 – FS2 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM (June 18)
· June 18 – FS1 1:00 AM to 9:30 AM (June 18)
· The entire race is streamed live on FOX Sports GO - https://www.foxsportsgo.com/

Veteran host Bob Varsha will spearhead FOX’s Le Mans coverage with Calvin Fish, Jamie Howe, and Tommy Kendall delivering race analysis. Le Mans-winning Audi LMP1 engineer Brad Kettler will make his debut in the booth, as will I. Sam Posey also has a number of features to reveal and Justin Bell along with Andrew Marriott will be reporting from pit lane.

Our local Porsche dealer is having a live broadcast from the beginning to 8:30 and they lock the gates at 9:00. Much of the day it is not broadcast on cable TV but they have a feed from some source. THe best part is they are serving free food at lunch time.

Guesses on the win ? I think Toyota takes it this year... They have the speed and reliability and looks faster than Porsche. Frankly, they deserve one, too, last year was brutal and they stuck with it. I can't quite root for them but I'll be happy for them if they take it...

Rumors that Porsche is about to leave (again) - because they are stuck withing the regs, unable to redesign their less competitive chassis... They're also looking at formula E, like Audi did when leaving Le Mans... That would be a blow....

In fact I will risk a bet that Porsche misses out on victory in both classes, the 911 looks non-competitive despite the mid engine shift... Still can't wait to watch !

Ford released "the return" movie on the genesis of the GT and last years's win on Prime... Probably worth a watch before the w/e !

Probably won't be able to see much of the coverage, maybe I could tape it.

I am heading to the Mid-Ohio Vintage races next weekend however, to see some cool race cars from the past. I so want to do this myself !

I'm still pulling for Porsche but after last year Toyota is due.

I believe Porsche should take the tech from the 918 and put it in a F1 engine and supply McLaren.

Time to watch the Le Mans movie today to prepare!

Last year I plugged in my iPad and watched the whole thing via the FIA app. Not sure I will have the time to do that this year though. Excellent commercial free stream for $9.99. They also have live timing on the app for free!
