Who would make your knees knock if you had a chance to meet him/her?

... and talk for 15 minutes?

For me, its not going to be a celebrity. I could care less about most sports. Probably science related... Einstein is dead, so he's out. Same goes for Steve Jobs. Hawking is a hero of mine, as is Elon Musk, but I don't know if they would do it for me.

I'm gonna go with Valentino Rossi :D

I thought this was going to be a thread about Bruce Jenner...

As I was thinking and thinking...then I saw your choice...Man, that would be something, eh?
OK, let me think a while. BBL
.
Oh, and I guess they'd have to be alive...if not, Leonardo de Vinci.

Sir Winston Churchill and President Franklin Roosevelt but of course they have passed away. Angela Merkel does well. It would be interesting to see if Clint Eastwood is as tough as he looks.

Good luck meeting Clint. He died a couple days ago.

Jestocost 06-22-2017 06:16 PM

Any member if ISIS if I were tied up and helpless.

AND, I would try to talk for more than 15 minutes to prolong the final result.

Lots of accomplished, high profile people I'd like to meet, Penske, Ron Dennis, Frank Williams, Jack Rousch, Burt Rutan, Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates, Keef, Neil Young, Dave Alvin, Lyle Lovett, Ringo, Leno, Seinfeld, Letterman, Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Marc Maron, Kenny Roberts, Bob Hannah, Rick Mears, Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, Nelson Piquet, Sir Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, at least one former president (not gonna parf it up with names here), Jim Jarmusch, The Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Daniel Day-Lewis, Uma Thurman, Tom Brokaw, Eleanor Beardsley, Teri Gross, Bill Watterson...

Alas, I suspect there are as many reasons to not want to meet your heroes as there are to not want to win the lottery...But I totally admire the people on this list for a lot of reasons, and on some level would love to have the chance to talk about life with them...

I would love to visit Jay Leno's garage, but I could spend a week, not just 15 minutes. Smokey Yunich/Carol Shelby if they were still alive.

I've been to Leno's and met Smokey, at least you could talk to them. Some people on the list I wouldn't have a clue what to say. It would be embarrassing, say hey Michelangelo, what were you thinking when you did David.

I think Tobra brought him back, he is a doctor you know

JD159 06-22-2017 07:02 PM

John Wayne. 100% certain.

Jeff Higgins 06-22-2017 07:03 PM

The Devil himself.

I'd open the conversation by asking what he thinks of Mr. Sikorsky's Skyhook!

I think it would be cool to meet the Pelican crew: Wayne, and Dimitri, Luccia, et. al.

And some of the famous retired racers mentioned earlier, book authors, etc. Maybe Ferdinand Piech.

Meeting the Pope might make me a bit nervous.

Hans Mezger is still alive, so maybe him.

Baz 06-22-2017 07:29 PM

Not even close.....

If we could meet one posthumously, it would be George Orwell or John Steinbeck.

If we keep it to those living, I'd love to have a drink with Elon Musk. His mind just flys at a different elevation.
