Cars 3
Saw it with the kids despite the bad reviews. I must say the reviewers are HOC (high on crack). It was what Cars 2 should have been and easily the equal of the first movie. I don't want to give any plot points away, but it was in the vein of Toy Story 3--it's about getting older and moving on with life.
As for casting, there were many flashbacks using Doc Hudson (Paul Newman). I also loved the bits with the digital assistant "Hamilton" (think Siri) voiced by Lewis Hamilton. New cast members Armie Hammer, Nathan Fillion, Cristela Alonzo, Chris Cooper and Kerry Washington all were great as well. Another great family movie from Disney/Pixar.

Took the grandkids last night to see it. I agree, I thought it was great! I never believe "critics" anyways.

Those movie critics and reviewers must live in their owe weird little world.
They miss the mark more often than not for my tastes. Loved the Cars series, and I think it has added to the appeal of those bypassed sections of Route 66 for a new generation. Cheers Richard |

I think us car guys get it. I heard nothing but great about it from one of the other Go-Kart dads too.

Loved it as well and a great way to spend Father's day.
Critics be damned, having my kids clap in genuine joy at the ending was well worth the price of admission. |

Every movie that we make gets reviewed by Pixar (which we own) before it gets final editing. They are just too freaking good at what they do.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving along in my coach heading to the west coast on I 40. In the section from just before Kingman in the earlly morning. I kept getting passed by the same group of motorcycle riders. Like four times in that morning.
Finally it dawned on me that they were breaking off of I 40 to ride each section of the old Route 66, it's a quest for some. Cheers Richard |

Took my 14 year old son, thought it was great. We went to first 2 on opening day, but waited a few days to see this one. Good continuation of the story. Awaiting Cars 4...
