First year of university for me, especially while "cramming" for exams.....with a bit of that coffee-mate crap back then!

Now I have a double espresso in the am from my Jura coffee maker......+Baileys on weekends or when camping, of course!

Sometime around age 30. I don't remember exactly.

I never drank coffee at work and I did not own a coffee pot back them.

The local PCA region started having a monthly breakfast. We all had food and something to drink of course. Back then coffee was a lot cheaper than a soda. I would be the only guy at a table not drinking coffee. I figured maybe I should try it. Coffee, black, is the only way I have ever tasted it.

Never wanted milk and sugar with it. I drink iced tea with no sweetener or sugar. I am sweet enough already.

I will stand in line for Starbucks for coffee only if someone holds a gun to my head or a knife at my throat and I will have to believe they might hurt me. That stuff is down right gross.

I can make my two cups of Folgers for dang cheap. Done for the day with coffee.

I was in ME maybe 10 yrs ago at ~30. I didnt realize until then I had a caffeine habit from diet coke and after ~2 days of no diet coke I broke down. First day was meh. I've had at least a few cups every day since then.

At 46 I still can't drink a 'normal' cup of black coffee. Got to have at least lots of milk and sugar in it. A moccha is great though, even if my stomach disagrees a couple of minutes later...

I can't do just milk or cream. Either milk or cream with sugar sugar syrup or just plain black.

Also picked it up daily working in the family construction business around 20, every morning 7:30 coffee, eggs toast with mom and dad at the dinner table while dad would give me the plan for the day.

I stopped for a while but picked it back up when I started as a computer tech in an office environment where they had a 'coffee station' about every 20 feet in the cubical farm.

Now I have a drip machine next to my work bench I use every day... at work I drink it only black... at home I might splurge with a shot of milk but no sugar.

Pree-teen dabbler. Gramma used to put a spoonful in a glass of milk, so we would feel like an adult.

By High School 1 cup a day with breakfast, now 2-4 daily.

Don't remember exactly. I do remember in high school and after, when I'd go with friends for "coffee", I'd drink hot chocolate. I still only drink one mug a morning with a little sweetener and creamer. If I try to drink coffee after that, it upsets my stomach. Always been that way, but I like my morning cup.

I have yet to even try Coffee and I'm 52. Just never had the need, although 99% of my coworkers and profession (pilot) drink it like it will be gone tomorrow..

I remember being given sips of coffee with cream and sugar as a 3 or 4 year old at my grandparents house (and I liked it). I don't think I've had coffee since I was 7 or 8 or maybe younger. Still don't drink coffee. I also quit soft drinks, I think 15-20 years ago. I still have various types of tea occasionally and chocolate (caffeine/stimulant)

I'm going to guess I was around 14 (1967) when I had my first coffee. Didn't think much of it at the time.
By 18 or so I was hooked. Now probably a 10 cup a day habit. In fifty years I've consumed enough to fill an Olympic size swimming pool.

49 here and never drank it- don't like the taste of coffee flavored ice cream or candies.

When I was a young man working two jobs, I figured it was easier to just drink Mountain Dew to get caffeine. Now, I haven't had pop since 2013; so when I get tired, I get tired!

I think I was 18 when I first drank coffee. Drank some during college and grad school. When I started working a real job is when I really started drinking. Probably 10 cups a day, and none on weekends. Weekends were brutal until I figured out I needed caffeine. Up until about 5 years ago, I still drank copious amounts of coffee until my doctor told me all the caffeine was messing up my heart. Going cold turkey was really, really, difficult.

Coffee around 26 years old, with half and half. My family were big coffee drinkers and iced tea drinkers. Started drinking sweet iced tea around 14 yrs old. My dad would drink coffee from 6 am till midnight...

I've taken a few sips when I was younger.

It just doesn't appeal to me.
