We cut all that crap a few years ago and are missing nothing. We joined amazon prime and their stick which gives you a whole host of movies and a connection to any other stuff you want to join (netflix, hulu etc.). While we get the WSJ, we get other news off the internet (and have for years) stream F1 (NBC Sports sucks but for some reason they did let me watch the entire America's Cup series for free). There's tons of stuff on you tube as I'm sure you know.
And if you really want to watch local TV or network crap you can get a digital antenna.
We went from Comcast to Direct TV but it's all the same scam IMO the bill constantly went up. $2,400 a year for bad TV? No way!
