Five Brevard Teens Mock Distressed Jamel Dunn as He Drowned

Some may have heard this story.....I wish I could say this is unbelievable or a new low but in reality, this doesn't surprise me one bit....given the crumbling state of morality in certain segments of our youth.

Quote:
In the more than two-minute long video, the five teen boys -- who are between the ages of 14 and 16 -- can be heard laughing as the man struggles to stay afloat in a pond near his family's home, police said.
The teens can be heard warning the man that he was "going to die" and they were not going to help him. At one point, one of the teen boys can be heard laughing, saying "he dead."
Instead of calling for help, the teens recorded the incident on a cell phone, chuckling during the victim's final moments.

They posted video of the incident on YouTube and did not alert authorities.
Dunn's family initially filed a missing person's report on July 12, three days after he had already drowned. His body was recovered from the water on July 14.

Sociopath indifference.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-politics-religion/963095-chest-remembrance.html

"You Boyz are on the way to He11, you have sold your souls to the devil. There will be no peace, there will be no tranquility, there will be no stability. Just the ever greater shifting sands of, discord, strife, turmoil, and all the attendant anxiety, fear, and irrationality that comes with it. The world you have been brought up to know is being turned upside down. It no longer exists. America is not populated with people who have the same kind of values as it once had. The only thing left is the hollow shell of that ideal, lip service to it is politically expedient and still sells beer."

I think this indifference makes the case for the anathematizing of America by ringing the bell, closing the book and dashing the candles to the floor.

Tabby came close. Probably one of them the sociopath, the others his followers.

I'm not watching that. The world is tough enough without watching people intentionally being cruel.

I didn't and won't watch don't want to add one more hit to an awful act of inhumanity . These kids are a product of their environment so the parents/family unit may be dysfunctional . That is not an excuse just an observation . The lack of concern for life by some is really concerning in society .
The stupidity of folks leaving kids in hot cars , shootings , stabbings etc. is really shocking . And what is the thought process of grabbing your cellphone and filming it ???
But don't worry Florida , OJ will soon be out and will help solve violent crimes

No. They might be charged for failing to report a death but that's about it.

They are deserving of some vigilante justice, as there is no excuse for their behavior and the world doesn't need these sorts of people. Inevitably they will reproduce and create another generation, worse than themselves.

If not they're certainly morally obliged to at least try and help the guy. What about a "duty of care" thing?

How could anyone just sit there and watch someone die?

I'd like to know what their parents think of the video. This is not a Millennial thing. The young people I know would help.

My emotions are all over the place with this one.

Anger more than anything. I'm angry that the deceased put himself in that position. I'm infuriated by the inaction and comments by the onlookers. I'm curious to know if those jackasses know how to swim themselves, or if there are alligators in that pond.

I feel lucky to have been taught how to swim, and I'm proud to have utilized that ability to aid those in need.

Only one incident am I reminded of. It's kind of funny actually. We were on the beach getting hammered, and the best place to relieve yourself is in the water, so out we go. Not sure about my buddy, but I had to drop a deuce. While out there, he got caught in a rip current. His cry for help sends shivers through my body today. The tears he shed on the beach make me weep now. At the time I didn't see the issue as a big deal, seemed simple. I told him don't panic, I'm coming, hold on to me, and pick your feet up.

In reality, I could have lost my best friend. I hope those hoodlums drown.

I am so sick of this. Who the hell shoots video vertical? I will tell you.. brain dead idiots like the guy filming that video.

Just remember, every time you see a vertical video, that person is as smart and compassionate as one of these heartless idiots shooting this video.
