LOL! I remember an old TOP GEAR, Clarkson & the boys driving European supercars stopping off at a USA dragstrip and getting smoked by plebian looking iron. Jeremy with a sad face: "I don't like drag racing."

Caint see how ugly it is if it's way down there in front.

Gawd, don't take it so seriously. I mean, it's not really all that important.
If it had been a race between the 6 cyl 300hp mustang and a 911 Turbo S, we'd have said that was a stupid race too.

On a somewhat related note, while waiting at the DMV to renew my license (time for a new photo and a vision test) I saw a note that said that the 2018 Mustang GT was going to have a muffler with "stealth" mode. Apparently the driver behind that was that someone called the police on one of the Ford engineers because his Mustang GT was so loud when he started it and drove it out of the neighborhood in the morning. Apparently, you can even program into the car specific times to be in stealth mode, IE, If I start the car between 9pm and 7am, start in stealth mode."

My boxster has the Porsche Sport Exhaust which has electrically actuated flaps in the exhaust for loud and quiet. I like that I can hit a button and have loud or quiet.
