Jerry Lewis

Was never a fan of his comedy, but he did a LOT for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

RIP Mr Levitch

91 is a good innings but it still sucks. What a life! What didn't he do in show business?

RIP Mr Lewis.

Great actor and comedian. Philanthropist and other things he did during his lifetime. Should be respected for the legacy he left behind.

Some of his movies are extremely entertaining. The one that comes to mind is "Way Way Out"...

Mostly think of him in tandem with Dean Martin, although I think they never much got along until later on in their careers. Both funny guys.

Maybe now we'll get to see the 1972 movie where he played a clown at Auschwitz. Never been released due to legal issue of some kind.

I do not disbelieve in anything. I start from the premise that everything is true until proved false. Everything is possible.

The Day the Clown Cried.

I think because Lewis' trademark silliness was totally inappropriate for the subject matter, the film was quashed. It was not funny. Even the French would have cringed, apparently.

From yesterday's Associated Press. And they wonder why people don't trust the news anymore....

He used to have a TV variety show that I watched as a kid. Loved it. RIP Jerry!

The guy helped raise over $2B for his Jerrys Kids - you would think for that kinda cash they all would be cured?

That was painful to watch, not so much because Jerry was a tough interview, but rather the interviewer sucked. He could have just tried talking to him like a regular guy instead of the stupid questions.

Hard to watch more than a minute of an old angry Jerry, when all I want to remember is a young silly Jerry that made me laugh as a child.

He did his time on this planet, earned his leave.

Jerry was being a total ass in that interview even though he may have had good reason to be

The interviewer did fine considering Lewis' behavior. I'm thinking the interviewer was young.

Lewis had a reputation in the biz for being a dick.
