How do you pronounce 'Turbine'?

Some of my friends in Houston call it a turbin, I call it a tur-bine. What say you?

Small (100 hp) steam turbin with some bits missing Lots O'vibration at 4000 rpm.

Larger (10,000 hp) steam turbin driving a centrifugal compressor. That's on a test stand and pic was taken in 1941 IIRC. That machine is still running 24/7

nuther pic of same machine

Turbin (like the headwear).

Ask any pilot how much tur-bine time they have, or if there is a tur-bine inlet temp gauge in the cockpit, then watch for the funny look they give you.
