In the gutter
It's 8 am and I'm on my 3rd beer. Does that make me an alcoholic?
|
thought this was a bowling thread..
but nope..you're good. |
Depends on when you got off work.
|
wait..what kinda of beer?
|
No, not necessarily...
If you are doing it every day it might be a problem. A friend of mine passed away about a year ago... I went off the deep end... got so drunk my wife dialed 911 (she thought I had a stroke). My mom passed away two months ago (we were very close) and everyone was on high alert, but I got through without drinking. Take care of yourself |

Guy walks in and orders a beer, no one blinks. Waiters tells me "he works night at the power plant." |

Did you need the beer or want the beer?
|
Did you also have a donut?

That depends. Normal guidelines say 2 beers a day max for a man. 3 beers every day would be too much.
You don't say how old you are. If you are 80 then this applies. If I knew I was going to live this long I would have drunk more. If you have to drive 3 beers is too much. I get hung over on 2 beers so my body tells me. How do you feel the day after 3 beers? |
8am is a little early, no time to recover from day before. ;)
Try to hydrate with water for the first half of the day... lose the beer gut and beer tits! :) switch to Vodka with club soda, no sugar and 0 calories. In the afternoon I prefer a weak Tito's vodka with tonic at 60 calories. |
|
There isn't sugar or calories in vodka?????
|
Two guys are at a wake for a young person who died.
"What happened?" "He drank himself to death." "Jesus...did he ever try AA?" "No, he wasn't THAT bad..." Ba da bump |
You would be amazed at how much of the world drinks beer for breakfast. I don't think its really too big of a deal. Nothing wrong with having a nice little buzz to start the day off :)

Club soda has no calories where a serving of tonic has around 60 calories. I lost 30lbs on the Vodka afternoon diet last year. ;) https://www.healthline.com/health/food-nutrition/vodka-calories#calorie-count copy and paste Vodka is considered a lower-calorie libation compared to wine or beer. The more concentrated your vodka is (the higher the proof), the more calories it has in a single shot. The “proof” is a number that refers to the percent of alcohol in the liquor. You can figure out the percent by dividing the proof in half. For example, 100 proof is 50 percent alcohol, while 80 proof is 40 percent alcohol. The higher the proof, the higher the calorie count (and the bigger effect on your blood alcohol content). For a 1.5-ounce shot of vodka, the number of calories are as follows: 70 proof vodka: 85 calories 80 proof vodka: 96 calories 90 proof vodka: 110 calories 100 proof vodka: 124 calories |
I haven't had a drink in prolly six months or so due to health reasons, but it does sound good.
Back in the dark ages just about everyone in Europe drank grog all day long. Even the kids. it was the only practical way they had to keep from getting sick from contaminated water. But they were always drunk, hense the dark ages. Then..... people started drinking coffee and tea. It was just as safe because it was heated, and it didn't slow people down. In fact it sped htem up and made them more productive. Renaissance! Yeah! I bet the people from the dark ages had more fun. |
I thought immediately that this thread belonged in PARF with all the political/celebrity accusations.
3 beers isn't a problem at 8 in the morning if you plan on heading to bed at 10. |
