Computer virus or scam or ???
Recently, I've been getting redirected to this address/page, but only when I visit one specific website (Rennlist). It redirects me from whatever page I am on to this page - see screen shot. I am running Safari on a Mac. Is this a script or something that's on my computer that does the redirect? I don't know enough web tech. to know where to start or if I should be concerned. I haven't seen any other weird behavior on my computer yet and it only happens when I'm on Rennlist... I have run Malwarebytes a few times recently and it says I'm clean. Is this something I should investigate further?
A web search on the phone number listed comes up empty. Thanks for the help, Tom ![]()

Also, I've never selected cancel or OK from the pop up window. I usually hit the back button, or quit Safari altogether and start anew.

Do a Google search on the YahLover.worm, and you'll see it's an adware scam. It's a fake message and you don't have a virus, but your bowser may have a malicious adware. To clean it up, you have to look for a MAC remedy which, I'm sure, is out there.
Here's a link that may help. https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/10994-yahlover-worm-infection-scam-mac

The popup means either you or that website have prolly been infected but all is not lost if you don't click the link. Time to get the cleaners out. Start with antivirus and malwarebytes from safe mode.

is ''hi-jack this'' still a good last resort ?
I have used it years ago when the others failed as a last try before reloading a fresh copy of windows |

Hitman Pro is the best I have seen. Download it to a flashdrive and boot from that. Ive cleaned some very infected computers with it.

Since you are on a Mac and the adware is only effecting one web site. Restart Safari. When not on that site or notice. Close the browser windows in Safari the us preferences clear the cash and cookies. Then restart Safari. It should be gone.

Thanks for the tips. I try to be as diligent as I can be about websites I visit, links I click and downloads. Like a lot of people, I use my computer every day for work and it's stressful when it's health is threatened - kinda sad, but true.
I visited ossiblue's link to pcrisk.com and followed the steps there, but wasn't able to locate anything that didn't seem like it should be there... hitmanpro appears to be Windows only. I did clear the cache & cookies and website data from Safari yesterday. The popup was only appearing when visiting ONE specific website, so hopefully that did the trick. Thanks! Tom
