Car magazine(s)?

Hi all - I'm polling a few forums I frequent - I'm curious what car magazine(s) you subscribe to?

The only magazine I felt was worth subscribing to stopped production several months ago :-( and I'm looking for ideas....

What is it about that magazine(s) that make it worth subscribing to?

GrassRoots MotorSports is a cool publication. Also owned by the same people is Classic MotorSport magazine.

I've always liked and have subscribed in the past to Road and Track, Octane, Motorsport, Excellence, Panorama. I have bought the occasional issues of Vintage Motorsport, GrassRoots Motorsports, Evo, and a few other mags including some of the Porsche specific mags and some more mainstream mags. I would like to still subscribe to Motorsport and Octane and maybe R&T, but just don't spend the time reading them when I get them despite wanting to.

One of my favorites was Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car and it’s gone. : (

I’ve let others lapse.

My only subscription is to Panorama through PCA. I travel a lot and will frequently grab a magazine or two at the airport magazine place. I’ll read most of them, the only ones I tend to avoid are the crappy tuner mags like Super Street or Hot Rod, and I hate Motor Trend because it’s one big glorified advertisement. My favorites tend to be the British magazines like Evo or Top Gear, though I also like Road & Track and Automobile.

Tried almost all of them in the past. Keep returning to Car and Driver Magazine.
The writers blend in the right amount of humor. Been a subscriber for at least 30 yrs now.

I buy Automobile Magazine. It is an interesting mix of topics. Everything from auction results to old cars to new concept cars. Especially interesting is when they test a car or truck and drive it through some of the US.

Down to two- Panorama and Motorsport. BTW if you like Automobile magazine you should try it's UK equivalent; Car. Much more informative and longer articles. When Excellence featured like three pages and a paucity of pictures on the then new 991.2 Car had about 20, chock full of info.

I even gave up the BMW membership as I couldn't stand Satch Carlsen making the magazine all about him.

I get Autoweek and the SCCA magazine Sportscar plus free Automobile for airline miles. I will buy Vintage Motorsport on occasion. I used to subscribe to Grassroots Motorsports but I found the staff does not really understand the true costs of owning and or racing a sports car anywhere other than in Florida where everything is cheap. None, I prefer video reviews on cars where dynamics enter into it.

I like reading, but most major magazines these days just don't cut it.

I let my C&D, and R&T subscriptions lapse recently, A woman at work was selling magazines for her kid's school, and I was able to get a package deal for $10. They didn't have that deal this year.

+1 on "Car" the UK magazine. That and "Evo" (also English) are the only two I subscribe to

R&T, Excellence, and Panorama. Anything else I pick-up if I'm out somewhere and it looks interesting.

I get Panorama, and Corvette Magazine which is identical to Excellence (same publisher).
I used to get Racer magazine, I may look into GRM.
