I have the cheapo HF creeper which is very similar to that one. Works OK but the exposed wheels will pinch the you-know-what out of you if you don't keep your extremities (upper arms in particular) out of the way.
Because of this I still use cardboard most of the time rather than the creeper. The covered wheels on the Bone make a lot of sense from that perspective !

Yeah, looking at the OP's first post, if I were to do over, I'd prolly go with one of them Bones. Not sure why I didn't get one (might have been mislead by Amazon reviews), now that I think back. Again, I hardly use the thing. Often I will finish a job and look over at the creeper in the corner of my garage...sort of an "oh yeah, I forgot I have one those" moments.

I am not a fan of creepers. I use foam floor mats made for kids play rooms. Cheap and softer then cardboard.

I also grab a roll of paper towels to support my head, they come in handy to wipe your hands down.

I just recently started using the cheap moving blankets. I can double or quadruple it up and it is very comfortable when on my back underneath. It insulates well against cold concrete too. You can buy them for less than $10.

I have a bone creeper in the attic. It just don't work for me. I feel cramped and it doesn't seem low enough.

I use an old style square tube frame padded creeper.

Outside of professional mechanics, I probably use a creeper more than 99% of the world...

I've burned through quite a few of them. Just aren't sturdy enough for really hard use on uneven surfaces. A couple of years ago, I was finishing a project in the shipping yards inspecting container chassis. Killed one creeper, bought another halfway through the project, killed it on the last day of work. The wheels just crap out, the mount for the wheels breaks etc. On the last day with the second creeper I worked with it missing one corner wheel. Just absolutely a miserable day. I was so utterly pissed that I threw it in a dumpster on my way out of the last rail yard.

Got back to my hotel and ordered a dog bone from Summit racing. I got up early and drove home from hell-A and the creeper was already at my door.

I've horribly abused this one and it is still perfect. I've run it over rip-rap, dropped it out of the truck, etc. Just keeps going. I'm going to buy a second one - the version that is for gravel. Less clearance but the fatter wheels will roll over gravel, rocks, dirt, etc.

Plus, and this is a BIG plus - I've never gotten my hair caught in the wheels. I really hate that...

Ive had short hair for about 15 years. Still do not see the need for a board with wheels. Old habits die hard.
