Sounds about right. My grocery trips are always a back and forth of the wife asking if we have something, me saying I have no idea is it on the list, and then her buying it anyway. That’s why we end up with like five jugs of fruit punch. I’m a list maker, everything I need goes on the list. Her, not so much.

I've got is all over you guys! I'm retired, and my wife is still working (nurse practitioner), so every Friday morning I drive to our food co-op...alone, as in - all by myself, and do all of our weekly food shopping. Without a cell-phone, thank you!
What prompted this is covid. We used to food-shop together...but with covid our co-op only allows one family member to enter. Thing is...I now have this down to a science - so its like "Supermarket Sweep" - and I'm in and out of there in about twenty minutes! Don't even bring a list! Wife is generally good with this...but good thing I leave my cell phone at home - just sayin!

As soon as that commitment ended they completely redid the place to "more closely meet what our core customers expect" Costco is nicer than it now. We stopped going there. We prefer Kroger even though it's more expensive.

GF- what should we do for dinner
Me- How about pork chops Her: "we can do steak, or pork chops, or whatever you feel like, I'm open and if we do pork chops today we can do steak tomorrow, or chicken, or chicken today or do you want to out and eat? But eating out costs more money, and we also have a frozen pizza, or leftover tacos we have those too. I don't know I guess we can do sandwiches or what do you think maybe we can get some lasanga...(continue, for 5 more minutes) Also GF so and so made this delish pasta dish we can also do, and my mom is making this for dinnner (continue some more) After awhile my ears literally start to hurt. rjp

She doesn't care where we go as long as you choose the place she has in mind. My wife and I communicate well most days. Some days we get out of sync. My sister and I are no longer allowed to be on the same team for games like Pictionary, charades, or any other game where one team member is trying to figure out what the other team member is trying to say.
