Do y'all use PMs much...

I very rarely do (obviously sometimes it's prudent and the thing to do), but I occasionally see someone post that another's PM box is full, etc. On a PARF thread recently....someone mentioned "PMing your PARF buddies".... got me thinking...how many do this? If I have something to say....I just say it for all to read...what about you?

From time to time. Usually if the subject of my message is not germain to the original topic. Or if I am trying to support someone who is enduring a troll attack.
In 17 years I think I have used PM a couple of dozen times.

I have sent a lot of PM's over the years on this forum . I would say 99 % of the time is on the classified forum . When offering a price either selling or buying this site is not Ebay so that process is best done via PM in my opinion .

Yes I use pm's quite a bit. I check every couple of days coz it is easy to miss a pm.
It was also very useful for the Christmas Gift Exchange. Some peoples' pm box is full but that is not surprising. Thanks for asking!

I rarely send them. Maybe 10 since joining up. But if someone sends one to me I always reply.

Don't use them much, mostly responding to them, now that I think about it. First time I used it was to send a series of PM's regarding some very nice 914 tail lights I got as spares.x

I just checked, my Inbox has 77 items, I may have deleted some of them.

I don't do facebook...but my box has been full for years. I delete one now and then so that i can get one or two more. They are pretty much all from buying or selling cars or parts as I sort like to keep a little bit of record of what i buy...and from whom. I also have a lot where I helped someone with a technical question offline...so if the same question came up again, no research or typing is required...just cut and paste...as well as a few from old pros like Grady Clay that I would hate to delete.

Faceplant is light entertainment. Use it that way and it's fine but some people need to be reminded of that.

Apparently research shows that the greater network of friends you have the more chance of living longer. If your only friend is a nagging wife at least you have somebody to bury you.....assuming she outlives you.

Married men live longer than bachelors. However, they are much more willing to die.

Yes, you seem to be pretty bored lately.

I remember your PM...but just looked and seem to have deleted it already. That said, my review showed/reminded me that a lot of good folks who have sent me PMs are now dead. I guess the typical age of posters here and the many years I have posted here are a factor. May they rest in peace.

Also, strangely enough, many, many PMs (from the not-so-good folks) were death threats...or at least threats of violence against myself and my family. It seems that some folks will make internet threats over small disagreements on debate topics. It also seems odd that they would provide written evidence pointing to them if that were their true intention. Strange crowd.

Either I am doing something very right...or very wrong.

I use PM for personal messaging, duh. Mostly to meet with other Pelicans when I am traveling or when they are coming through OKC. I get their cell numbers and set up a meeting. I have not met nearly the number of Pelicans as Hugh, but it is quite a few. From Seahawk in MD or Max in Monterey.

I mostly use PM's to ask for technical information. It's a great resource if you have a question & can't find an answer via a search. I send a PM maybe once a month or less on average.

Everytime I have used pm's to message, I find that I can't send pics as an attachment. (it asks for url of pics?...what?)
I must be doing something wrong.
Irritating when trying to show someone an item...always end-up using emails instead.
