i think i'm unusual. i get 8-9 hours of sleep a night.

my doctor was surprised i sleep so much.

i wake up fairly early, so early in the evening..TV, computer, paper books..all get closed and put away.
i live surrounded by the elderly, and my house is the first to go dark. haha.

my Doc said that is the best way to stay healthy..eat right, stay hydrated, exercise..and SLEEP.

the days, i exercise..falling asleep right away at 8:30 is not unusual. i just wipe the day's problems under the rug..pretty sure they will be there in the morning..they always are.

9-5 is sleepy time. i dont even wake up to piss, unless i drank a big thing of anything..then on the dot..2:00 am. 2:02..gone. ZZZZ.

who gets 8 hours a night?

I used to suffer from border line insomnia when I was a lot younger, but times have changed and I now average around 7 hours of sleep a night. When I'm sick, I can sleep up to 9 hours..

If I ever try to sleep in, my body automatically gets me out of bed by 10AM... even if I've only slept two hours. I wish I could wake up at 5AM on the weekends to drive the canyons, as no one is there!

Since I retired, I usually get 8 hours/night +/- 1 hour. Rarely do I need to get up in the middle of the night to pee. I also don't need a nap during the day. This is all working out well, at least for now.

I get 8 when I can.
It’s all over the place depending on work travel, kids, extracurricular (scouts, biking, etc...)
Used to be 6 or less, but I am in a better place now and sleep is a good thing.

Do I count in the 2-3 times I get up to pee? Once you get past 3 score and 10...

When I'm not working 50 hours a week and taking 3 programming classes I tend to get 7-8 hours sleep. I'm halfway through a 2 week vacation and have been getting 8-9 hours of sleep. Even been setting my alarm to get up at 9am

We go to bed at 10:30 and I get up at 7:15.

I toss and turn for 5 or 6 minutes, then out like a light. Before age 58 I virtually never got up to pee. Now I am up usually at 2:00 to 2:30 AM for a wizz.
Some nights when the Thunder are playing some silly game with a big ball my wife has the TV on watching the game. I am still out within 6 or 7 minutes.

When the alarm goes off I throw the covers back and bound out of bed, happy and ready to go, right to the bathroom, and then shower.

On Monday morning my business partner needed a ride to go to the airport and we had to be there at 5:30 AM. It is a 30 minute drive. That was an early morning. I still bound out of bed.

I learned long ago to not even try to talk to my wife until she is dressed and done eating breakfast.

I'm usually right around 8 hours, most nights probably plus/minus 30 mins.
Sometimes 7-ish hours
rarely 5-6 hours
sometimes but not often 9-10 hours.

Depends on when I go to bed. I am always up at 6:47am every morning. Been getting up at that time for years. No alarm, my body just gets up at that time. If I go to bed at 10 then I get close to 9 hours sleep. If I go to bed at 4am, close to 3 hours. Doesn't matter, I get up at 6:47. Why, I have no idea.

I usually turn the lights out at 10:30 PM. Most nights, I go right to sleep and the alarm wakes me up at 6:10 AM. Takes about 15 minutes to get out of bed.

Some nights, I feel like I'm up all night and feel like schit the next day.

There is no clear demarcation between sleep time and wake time anymore. I can reliably expect to be asleep between midnight and 2 AM. Outside of that all bets are off.
So I'm solidly in the "eff you Vash" column. Don't take it personality
The CPAP machine has helped a lot. When I am asleep I fall into a deep sleep instead of spending the time in that twilight zone

Right now I am one of the lucky ones. Usually at or just under 8 hours.
Lately I haven't needed to read before dropping off.
For me, booze interrupts a good night sleep.
Beer cause I need to pee and whiskey just kind of screws with my sleep....

I don't know if it would help some of you who are sleep deprived, but I have a little furry purrrr machine camped out next to my head at night. Like ocean waves, the purring lulls me right to sleep. Worth a try?

My wife accuse me me of being from another planet. I never have bad dreams and often wake up giggling and having the opposite of a night mare, I guess a night funny?
Recently I was driving a go cart type vehicle but it would drive over a building and up on the side of a building. It was a blast. It would even fly.

Had insomnia most of my life. A couple years ago I started keeping more regular hours and sleeping better. I'd love 8 hours but I usually get 7. Thats really good for me.

I'm usually shutting the light off around 10:00, and getting up before the alarm at 5:00 am. On the weekends, I try to go to bed later, and stay asleep later, but never past 9:00 am.
