-2º
That was today's HIGH.
|
Got you beat... -2.2 (-19 C)
|
Today's low is -15º.
|
Do you guys live in deep space or something?
|
About 15° F here, and I'm trying to sell ice cream.
|
68 degrees today in the Sierra foothills. We need rain bad. Bulbs are popping up. This just isn't right.
|
Our lows are in the 40's with daytime in the mid 70's where I live. We also need rain badly, & some of the trees are getting buds. They're confused. We had a really wet season last year. Seems like each year now is an extreme.

31°
Bwahahahaha |
Walking the dogs at -10 this morning was something real.
|

I don't think asking for "Average" is asking too much... but it must be.
Calling for -8 tonight... Curse you Polar Vortex ! |
Are those the real temps or are you quoting with wind chill?
|
hahahahahahhaha
ROFLMAO! That SUCKS! I'm not actually minding our low this morning which was 31°. I think we topped out around 40 or maybe as a stretch 45°. I think the next two mornings will be our coldest in the mid 20s. I have lived in Northern Japan which gets pretty cold, but not ever that cold. The average Jan/Feb temps are mid 20s to mid 30s for the lows and highs. I know we had temps below 0°F at least for wind chill, but I think there were also a few below 0° days (or maybe single digits) when I was there. THat was cold, but I was young (8-10yo the first time and 13-15 the second time), so I didn't mind it as much. You dress for it and you get used to it to a large extent. I'm not sure that you ever get used to the temps that you guys are seeing unless you live in the arctic, antarctic or Siberia. |
The cruise lines will step up the TV ads now.

It's 47 here in Orlando. I'm in full body thong airing things out. The locals are convinced a blizzard is about to come upon us ala end of times. My wife is tired of me sayin 'come check out my thermometer'.
|
Summertime here. I've just had a swim and paddleboarded about 5 kilometers.
|
12 here in Southern OK. How the Hell do you guys do it up North. I saw -30 + on a Canadian weather map, How do you get anything done, get your car started, batteries, etc ...Jeesus!

You don't want any exposed skin in this kind of weather. To put the garbage out, I put on my Carhart coveralls (over jeans and a t-shirt), winter boots, heavy gloves, a scarf, ear muffs, a neoprene face mask, a balaclava, ski goggles, and a hat over that. We're not going anywhere. The kids are staying in, and I usually let the older ones play in the snow. I have a two-month old and even taking her from the car into a store is a concern. |
The population density of your county is literally 100 times higher than mine. I don't care if it was -30 outside here, I wouldn't trade places. But hey, that's why they make chocolate and vanilla. Maybe the best part of cold temperature, is that it bothers many people enough that it keeps them away.

It is play-time at last.
With the extended deep freeze we should have plenty of ice to safely roll plow trucks to clear a track and pit (park ) on the lake. Man that’s T-shirt weather, it was -22 a couple days ago here, and we got a foot of snow. I think this also made up my mind a Cayenne would be better off than the Panamera, but neither has remote start so...

7* F here now. Near 0* overnight. Its winter and its supposed to be cold so I will just deal with it and try not to whine.:D
|
Took the 911 out for a romp through the canyons today. Glorious twisties, no traffic, no cops. My only weather dilemma was whether I should wear a sweatshirt or just go with a t-shirt.
|
I love winter but I admit it's too damn cold, usual temp this time of year is around 0*C (32*F).
Then I have a fully heated shop so cold temps don't matter much to me. |
Don't worry, there is only 3-4 months of winter left! :)
I swear, I'd shoot myself if I was still in MN. As I get older, freezing becomes less tolerable. And it didn't start out very tolerable. |

WHO is holding the Canadians responsible for this?!
It's war by weather I tell you. THey are trying to bankrupt the american consumer and energy system by sending down their cold air. BUILD THE CANADIAN WALL! |
I can deal with the cold, but that blowing wind kicks my ass and I am not just talking about wind during the winter months. Out here, we rarely get the blowing winds like other pats of the country or N America. When we were up in Calgary, that winds just comes across and rips my face in pieces and continues to blow. We just don't have that here, oh, and no bugs in the summer but a couple of flies and such unless you are up in the mts.
|
-11.2* F for the first day back to work...
Thank God for remote starter. |
