That's just awesome...

I rarely eat breakfast, much less waffles, but I damn sure know where to go...and it ain't gonna be the size of a burger and cost $4 either....I'll even sit at the counter if by myself.

Hoity-toity crowd I hang with here though ;)

If'n I want to ruin my meal with whip cream, I go to the high faluttin' joint and get me some
Rooty-Tooty Fresh N' Fruity crap....I think I actually ordered that once ...it was 4am and I was impaired with the munchies :)...decades ago...yuck...

Stay at a Fairfield Inn. You have to make them yourself, but the price is right...$99 endless breakfast, plus they throw in a free night at the hotel! SmileWavy

They are designed to be used with this tiny jar.

i finally visited one in Tuscon.

i actually hated the place. it was like a place stuck in time. except the pricing. it was super crowded, so my opinion was the odd one.

Waffle house is good for other breakfast items as well, they don't discriminate on which item will give you heartburn, and diabetes, they all do....it's a trucker's paradise !

I could go waffling on about how good ours are, but there in a French guy at the night market who does amazing ones. And he does a topping of reduced raspberries - French style he tells me :D

My wife and I stopped at a Waffle House for breakfast while going to see family in Tennessee 15 or so years ago. I remember nothing about the experience, but we haven't been to one since. I assume that's because we just weren't impressed.

Waffle House is mot much different than Denny's or Pancake house.

My wife and I go to breakfast at a local breakfast and lunch place about once a month. They close at 2:00 PM. Much nice and better food than the big chains.

^^That's funny right there. (California legislation to ban drinking straws for those who missed the earlier thread)

Visiting a friend that used to live in Dallas. we went to some big fancy hotel. Don't remember which one is was, but they had a complementary breakfast. Didn't seem to care if we had a room there or not. It was a very good spread and they had cooks at a big breakfast bar thing fixing basically whatever you wanted including regular sized waffles.

Never been in the cheap imitation....nor am I ordering a steak at Waffle House....but if'n ya just want a plain ol' Waffle....they can do that very well. Of course ya might be tempted to get some greasy hash browns too, smothered and covered or nekked....yer choich ;)

They are not small.

It's just that Americans are used to and expect ridiculously grotesque food portions.

And we wonder why we have an obesity problem.

There's a place near Houston that I've been to that sells "Liege Waffles". They are similar to what was posted.

If god had intended for waffles to be the size of a burger, then why are waffle irons the size they are? And the day my fat azz can't sit on the damn stool at the counter....well, then I'll just move to a booth ;). I keed...I'm actually around my playing weight of three decades ago....'cause I don't eat breakfast like I did back then....oink, oink.
