That's terrible, but can somebody clarify to me, and it's an honest quesiton.

They do a Go fund me for the families for
1. Unpaid medical bills
2. Funeral expenses
3. Housing for out of town relatives for the funeral
4. Educational resources for children

I can understand they might have people come over for the funeral, and that kids may need to go to college.

But medical bills, funeral costs? When they got killed on the job???
surely LEO's carry insurance for medical, and life insurance for the rest? Isn't that basic coverage provided to LEO's?

Apparently there are heartless scammers setting up go fund me pages to rip off good people. Be careful. Can’t imagine how such people sleep at night.
