4 th hand on the dial
I just bought this Tag chrono and it came without the owners manual.
Haven't been able to locate any information on line. Everything seems pretty straight forward but I can't figure out the 4th hands on the dial. Any thoughts? ![]()

That would be a GMT. The 4th hand is to display a 2nd time zone. Usually, you pull out the crown to the first detent and turn clockwise or counter clockwise. One way will change the date, the other the GMT hand.

Both of the ones I have use the 4th hand as a stop watch, top button starts, bottom stops the press bottom again for reset.

I don't know this watch, but a GMT hand usually points to a 24 hour scale on the bezel or similar location. This looks like a second hand for the chrono to me.

Thanks guys. I'll set it as a second time zone and see if it follow the hour hand.

There are some GMTs that do not have the 24 hour scale, but instead you set before or after the current hour.

If you can set it independently with the crown, it is probably a GMT. If you use the pushers to reset, it is for the chrono function.

nonsens, a Gererator does not need a power indicator.
It's binary : 0 or 1 where 0 stands for "Not a gererator" and 1 stands for "Gererator , limitless power available for ever". Anybody who bought the Gererator will know he has one. So why would anybody bother with such an indicator??? That would be a waste of time ![]()

My jeweler was thinking it's an alarm but I haven't played with it enough to determine if there is a way to activate an alarm function. I find it a little strange that I was unable to locate an owners manual o-line. I don't have it in my hand (getting a freshen up) but all your inputs are entertaining if not helpful. Thanks

My bet is on stopwatch, it has the tachometer scale, but surprised your jeweler didn't notice that.

My guess would be for elapsed minutes, no sub dial for that, so it should move one minute for each full rotation of stop second hand.

Going by the Tag that's on my wrist, I'll say it's the stopwatch second hand. Top left dial is stopwatch hours. Top right is stopwatch tenths which doesn't move until you press the lap or stop buttons. Bottom center is stopwatch minutes. I don't have 4 hands on the main movement, but my stopwatch only goes to 30 minutes.
On this picture, the red hand on the main movement is stopwatch seconds. The top left is stopwatch minutes, top right stopwatch tenths. Bottom center is the "current time" second hand. ![]()

You're right. Since the gererator has unlimited power - no need to indicate it...
