hard hitting question!! round or elongated toilet?

i ordered two..elongated.

i think mine only come that way. about 1.5" longer, where it counts for men. (add jokes here - GO!)

what's in your home?

If I had room, I would get the taller and elongated ones for adult use. I replaced an elongated one once wit a slightly smaller round one that was a water-saver...and regretted it immediately.

Elongated. And we went with the comfort height. I was super happy with that choice when I had my hip replacement or I am sore after a long day of yard work.

I have found with things like toilets you need to take them for a full test drive before committing.

Or just lean forward for the same effect. I have no issues with sitting in a comfortable position.

Cliff, for a couple hundred bucks more per seat you should go in-wall. Get yourself a Geberit tankless system, they have ones that mount in either 2x4 or 2x6 stud walls, and a Duravit bowl like the Starck 3. This saves about a foot of room in the bathroom and looks cool besides.

The cantilevered bowl can support 880 pounds. You can even get the bidet lid although it's pricey, like $1500.

You would need to run new plumbing off the soil stack as there's no longer a hole in the floor or a wax seal. Not a huge deal if you are remodeling.

Definitely check it out and I'll think you'll find that the price differential is not that much.

Elongated... no question!!! and geez, it is hard to find a low one now a days. The comfort/taller ones are SO uncomfortable.. No pressure in the right places. Nothing comes out unless I use a step stool thingy.. !

unless you're a pygmy or hobbit, I think the only good answer is oval/elongated/extended.

The folks at home depot frown on that, and it can be difficult when they are mounted 6' up on an angle with a shelf over them.

Clearly, this lady has a much more forgiving HD.

I think you're correct sir. Lack of Orange, and Lowes does their displays like that.

Unless you are 6'4", get the regular height. Elongated is a little more comfortable, but more then anything else, you have a couple more inches of clearance for accidental drips

Unless space is an issue (such as in our powder room), oval is the way to go.

We just moved into a house with three elongated and two round. The round ones are getting replaced, they are awful.
