Sears and Montgomery Ward catalogs are hard to find these days. And the junk mail catalogs from Harbor Freight and L.L. Bean get used up quick.

I will second this....Costco Kirkland brand is wider sheets than standard, so you use less sheets (a wide roll seems to last longer than the standard width roll.

While we are on the subject...
Remember back when you could buy colored TP to match your bathroom decor?
Whatever happened to that?

Yeah, I have too much time on my hands...

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the orientation of the TP....it must be over the top, not left to hang against the wall, and be searching for the end.

Found this:
Quote:
– Doctors started warning colored toilet paper could lead to skin irritation. As pretty as we once thought it looked, no one wants to deal with that!
– Ecologists also began warning the dye in the colored toilet paper rolls was harmful to the environment.

With an increased cost of production (it costs more to produce colored than white toilet paper) and a decrease in sales, manufacturers began to produce less and less. Up until 5 years ago, Scott was one of the last remaining manufactures to still produce our old friend in beige, blue, and pink. However, they have since cut production all together.

Is there anything PPOT can't do?

I remember seeing a sign in an outhouse meme that said something like: "use a red cob first, then use a white cob, to see if you need to use another red cob..."! LOLz!

Dude wipes... or other flushable wipes... not all the time, but handy on bad days to avoid chafing...
Also in very convenient individual wrappers for work/emergencies in the car, esp if work uses sandpaper as TP.

I thought the cobs were there to put the corn back on.

My wife was buying what was essentially notebook paper. I took over the shopping shortly after.

At one of the companies I worked at the bosses wife started buying "John Wayne" toilet paper. It was rough and tough and did not take crap off of anyone. I started to just drive to my house since I lived within a mile if the need arose. Finally when the boss himself had to use the John Wayne toilet paper he went on a tirade. I drove to the local grocery store and bought a case of quality TP, and picked up every single roll of the bad stuff and too it home to put in the bathroom his wife used. She finally donated it to some organization.

Bag Balm all the way, baby !! The best thing to soothe your bunghole after a bout with rough paper, irritation, and all those other discomforting things.
