I wish they would have tied up some loose ends a bit better, and been more solid on some of the themes. The film feels like it wanted to be a bit Kubrick-esque, but I don't think they went far enough. I did enjoy exploring some of the themes revolving around Portman's character and how she interacted with the shimmer. Overall, it was satisfying... I think. Not for everyone, that's for sure.

John Carpenter's The Thing with Kurt Russell was the best one. The previous one starred James Arness as the thing. I thought the third one was okay.

Looked at the trailer for DW, I don't feel It. Not even the trailer seems interesting. the Original movie with Charles Bronson was a regular guy who turned vigilante. Charles Bronson never was an Big Action Hero like Bruce Willis.. he did have some hero roles in war movies.. But not in a I'm Bruce I'am Hard Willis way. He usually did the quiet strong kinda types. To see Bruce Willias take that role in a remake.. It somehow doesn't come over as believable . I'm to used to seeing him kick ass and take names.. It doesn't make sense that he supposedly is a regular Joe Schmoe that turns vigilante. Because he always has been the one to save the day as an Action Hero... He's not doing anything new and that doesn't make me feel like i'll miss anything if i don't watch the new DeathWish

Death Wish was okay. Not great.
Annihilation is like Project Genesis from The Wrath of Khan.

Annihilation seems like a movie I would watch out of boredom after it comes to netflix or some other low budget option.
