Is it ok to pass wind at a urinal?
My opinion is that's it's not if there are other people around just as you wouldn't in a crowded room.
However it seems I might be in the minority because at work it can sometimes sound like a badly tuned wood section of the orchestra in there. I've even had colleagues start a conversation say while I'm washing my hands and they are relieving themselves and mid-sentence they will let out the loudest proudest bum burp I've ever heard and they will simply continue the conversation like it's totally normal. Who is in the wrong here? Am i being a prude? |

At some point, the choice is to fart or explode. Offices and cubicles (my habitat) are one option. Bathroom seems like the better option. Either that or go outside. Are you suggesting outside?

Someone told be that there is a muscle that must relax in order to pee, and that muscle controls when you fart. Hence the fart before you pee being so common.
Science or biology rules over social etiquette. I've also been told to not excuse yourself in the toilet room, it's not necessary. Maybe we should just rename them the farting and burping rooms?

Let it rip. I don't think I would do that while having a conversation with someone, but while standing at the urinal, sure. Its a bathroom. Its where one goes to let nature take its course.

I am less concerned with a fart in the bathroom than I am with guys who seem to think it's okay to start up a conversation with a stranger in a public bathroom. That's just awkward.

Wife operates a yoga studio......I've been going about once a week ( i get free yoga ) I can really see progress as I can now touch my toes. Anyway, I'm mainly surrounded by females......It's my goal to not crank out a giant fart whilst practicing.......Just the other day, the gal next to me let loose....glad I didn't get blamed.

What is with all this bathroom stuff I let them rip when ever and where ever. I even leave them in aisles at the store to let them know I was there.
