Cool...does the CG ship break the path right up to pier? Or can the freighter do that?

Ice breaker does it all, makes sure the incoming ship has open water right to the berth.

Don’t forget to post pix!

Also, how does the ice breaker get close enough to the dock to break up the ice?

I’m loving phots! I admit large ships creep me out. Anything that big that moves on its own...totally irrational, I know.
The first time I went scuba diving I did fine until I looked up and saw the bottom of the hull of our boat. This wave of apprehension came over me.

My wife has a nephew who does this kind of work in Prince Rupert BC but he does not post pics like you do. Thanks for the pics. They are great.

Neat pics YP. Back to the work season.
Did the ship drop the anchor on the way in to help turn the bow away from the dock, with no tug there? Or to help in getting off the dock when leaving?

Frightful how the ice closed back in once the ship was along side the dock, wind change bring it in? Will the icebreaker come back to dig them out?

This may put a dent in your Hotrod building time.

Cheers Richard
