Mental health day. Today!
Woke up was not feeling it. Work has been droning on auto-pilot during our rainy months. Yuck.
Zero clouds in the sky. I texted boss man Saturday and told him I am not coming in Mon if the weather was good. I loaded up my truck for some shooting. I figured I would try to find this free public gun range north of me. I had hoped the rain would make it impossible for everything but a seasoned driver in a 4x4 to make it up there. I imagine lonely shooting bliss. For the record an insane woman drove three boys up that road in a Honda minivan. So much for the rubicon trial I imagined. I took one type of ammo. The CCI standard velocity. I found my round! So accurate out of my Savage rifle. I was getting ejection fails. I just took my bolt apart and got it surgical clean. If that doesn’t work, i’ll clean up the edges of parts with a tiny file. I’m getting replacement parts just in case. Free from Savage I think. Oh, once I git bullet drop figured, I was darn near 100% at 128 yards breaking clay pigeons abandoned out on the dirt berm. So much fun playing hookie from work. I took full advantage.

So you had an eye problem?
You just couldn't see yourself going to work? Good for you, I get the impression that you could use more days like this.
