That would be my first choice. You can also lash a stout rope over a branch parallel to the pipe and cradle the pipe in it. It’s not likely you’ll find branches on two trees that are at the same level anyway. Find branches on each tree that will keep a rope from sliding down the trunk, establish loops from each one to cradle the pipe so it is held horizontally, and voila (or walla or viola if you’re from Ohio) you’re done.

Hundreds if not thousands died during my "tree fort" daze....but girls back then had cooties....ewww

This is a porsche website, therefore I suggest the solution include 'guessing' at (and then frustratingly setting at a wrong position)- torsion bar spline height.
