Found one that retracts the hose...around $50 and will be well worth it now that I can stow the air compressor to the back of the garage now. Good call, Sammy.....

So, what are people going to do about electric cars when they discover the same kind of performance as cordless tools?

Hence why most of us don’t drive electric cars.

90% of most daily driving they won't notice the difference except the EC is super quiet and fast as heck but has to be plugged in daily.

10% of the time they will get stuck and begin swearing at everything. (justifiably so.)

Yesterday I decided to start charging the four batteries , each one took about an hour and were fully charged . The Rigid batteries have a " power meter " built into them so you can see the level of charge . Used the cordless drill to put some holes in the bottom of a plastic flower pot for the wife........... it powered right through that thin plastic

I will start using these tools now as I still have a fair amount of work left to go on my 2 car man cave build . I will try to remember to report back on the tools performance .

Love it.

I recently bought as ryobi air compressor to fill tires and such.
it works, sort of.
If you tried to fill a real tire with it, you'd have a race to see if the battery died before the compressor went up in flames.

It works fine if you have 15 seconds to raise the pressure in a tire a couple PSI but that's all I would ever ask from it.
Any more than that and it'll get really hot.
I know, what do i expect for 20 bux?

used one after the hurricane when the power was off for a few days to blow air in to the koi pond
it worked ok for short bursts of about 5 min an hour to keep the fish alive

I have used my 10 year old Dewalt 18V cordless drill countless times on many big projects with no issues. Only a few times have I had to go get my 1/2" corded drill to drive large lag bolts into 6x6 beams.

It is almost time to upgrade to the new 20V. My 3 18V batteries aren't holding charges for long, and have less peak power now.

Worthless for anything but the bicycle.

With Ridgid (Home Depot Brand) you have lifetime warranty and replacement of batteries.
All you have to do is register each component separately in their website.
WHen I needed a new battery... voila! They sent me a new one... months later the drill died... boom! they sent me a new one!

All this without Home Depot intervention.. I'm happy with that brand.

I wouldn't buy anything else.. A Milwaukee or Dewalt batteries are stupid expensive...
