scratch one off my bucket list

Went to the Ring and gave my Cayman a Workout (and it took the workout like a champ)

First 2 laps were wet, first one untimed and slow , just getting around
2nd was 12 minutes
3rd lap was dry, 10m15

last was 9m36

There is more, but i also had all my camping gear on board
cooler with beer and drinks.. And well, first time, i think it's better to let it sink in a bit and go back another day instead of over cooking it on the first visit.

I would love to do that with my 911.

Two things left on a bucket list that was pretty long...
A Harley Fat Boy . I rode V-twins for years but not Harleys.
This one will be in the garage without a battery or gas and I will just sit on it.

The other item on my bucket list escapes me at this time. I will have to find it on a note pad.

Good luck

Wow, just getting a ride in the ring taxi or drive a rental around the 'Ring would be a bucket list for me, but getting to drive my own porsche on it would surpass "bucket list" status and go to some sort of nirvana-like status.

What are they charging these days for a lap of the ‘ring in your own car?

That’s surprisingly affordable! I’m not sure the legalities or taking a rental car out there on my next trip to Europe though - lol!

Not insured.
But few people are on the Ring, most insurers (except for the german ones) exclude it

What a gas! Say, did you turn on the wipers even though it wasn't raining?

One guy's signature line on a board was that he'd driven the 'ring with the wipers on, and it wasn't raining. Too busy driving to notice, I guess. Just thought it was funny.

Ive been twice, once I took the rental toyota for a few laps but the second time I rented from these guys

RSR Price List » RSRNurburg

Its a bit expensive as you would expect, but totally worth it. I just rented the Fiesta ST but its a real joy on the track. I actually don't think having a superfast car would make it any more fun. Weekday afternoon is definately better than on saturday/sunday
