Washing her car

So I washes her car like it's the frickin finals at Amelia Island or some Schit. Like, toothpick and Q-tip and actual wax and 94 different products kind of stuff. It's a sick azz car and she let me drive it all weekend so I think it's a square deal.

So i says: "Hey, I washed your car!

(and topped off the fluids and recharged the AC)

"Took me like 3 hours! Doesn't it look great?"

She's like

"Did you feed the dog?"
"I wish I had 3 hours to do something like that!"

Then I goes out to the car a few days later and there's frickin' Freddy's wrappers and about 95 Diet Coke cans, each one about 2/3 full, in the car. She works 1 block from the house. She musta driven to Freddy's specifically to put Freddy's wrappers in the car.

How can I MAKE HER SEE?
The BEAUTY?
The JOY of the perfectly clean car?

Or should I shut up and be happy I got to drive the sick azz car?

There's a possibility I'm exaggerating a little

Ya, you know my mom told me a million time not to exaggerate!

My wife is a keeper in so many ways. She keeps her car clean on the inside and she actually helps me when "we" wash her car. She does actually help, and does a great job. She parks at the end of the parking lot in the good spaces. She is a 100% keeper! (The wife not the car)

Me too! My wife cleans her interior on nearly a daily basis, and helps me when I wash. She enforces our rules of no food in the car and no drinks except for water, which is YUGE when you have kids. She takes the end spots, even shows up early at school pickup to snag an end spot. It helps that she loves her car (Ford Flex Ecoboost), and has gotten spoiled with years of me being OCD about cars. She even mows the yard!

This reminds me of something my EX-wife would have said.

You can read between the lines...

You and I married women on the opposite ends of the OCD spectrum. I looove finding apple cores in my cupholders after she's driven my car.

My wife's car is a 2017 Macan that she ordered to her specifications. It is 13 months old and we recently took it to a local guy for a complete detail, and ceramic coating on the paint. He sees lots of cars and he even commented to me how we obviously take fantastic car of it. He said the interior is perfect, the wheels were clean and he treated it like a show car to some extra detail work. There will never be any eating in the car. Heck she does not even let me fart in there!

If she wants to be a slob, let her be a slob.
Keep your car clean if that makes you happy.

What, no almonds or other assorted foods of the current health food craze on the floor? It would be nice if she could just get the food in her effin mouth half of the time, that would cut down the amount on the floor by 1/4.

I especially liked when my Missus tried to glue a phone holder to the front of the dash. When it fell, and I knew it would, she left the glue residue behind. It adds a touch of class the the car.

She truly can't appreciate that we are paying real money for the thing and treating it like crap isn't going to make it last longer.

I gave up a while ago. I could spend the weekend cleaning, and detailing up the inside, and she would be pissed, because she could no longer find her 37 bottles of body spray, and the $322.78 worth of change in the cupholders, door pockets, ash trays, and spilled down between the seats, and stuck to the floor with the 14 mcdonalds cups leaking sticky ooze all over the place .

LMAO, is this a new Gogar? Your writing style has suddenly changed What car does she have?

My wife last night, talking about her new Mercedes: "A bag of raw chicken exploded in my car. I have to try to figure out how to clean it now. Especially behind the rear view mirror and the roof."

I drove the car recently and the switches in the center console barely work. She's spilled Red Bull into them.

Just makes her all the more lovable

I keep towels in my car. When we get food to go I make her put that towel on her lap. Too many spills that didn't get cleaned up until it was too late.

Anyway, we are 40 years together and she still makes me laugh and love life, but damn! Does it have to look like a food fight went on in the passenger seat!?!

That is what you get for bringing one of your groupies home. Don't they have a handbook or something they give to rock stars?

I cook, do dishes, clean, vacuum, do laundry, take out the trash, mow, fix things, build things, clean my cars, work a 40 hour job, am a sound engineer for a local band, teach aikido, mountain bike and try to stay in shape.

The wife works a 50+ hour job (without any extra pay), try's to pay the bills, has an unending list of worries and fears and her car is a festering pit of tissues, wrappers, containers and water bottles. She did mow the yard (ok, half of it) as my Father's Day gift. Yee Haw.

The daughter has break downs, anxiety attacks, lives with her phone and really doesn't do anything else.

If I do something for them, it is for my benefit and have no expectation of them recognizing it. I've given up hoping that either one of them will be functional and pickup some slack but accepting reality, this is how it will be until I walk away. I figure once my kid is out of high school (2 more years), all bets are off.
